EA Sports UFC 5 recibe una actualización significativa el 9 de enero, 1 pm ET, para PlayStation 5 y Xbox Series X/S. Esta actualización (Patch 1.18) presenta el luchador invicto Azamat Murzakanov y aborda varios errores.

La actualización demuestra el compromiso continuo de EA Vancouver con EA Sports UFC 5, luego de los comentarios de los jugadores sobre la lista inicial. La adición de Murzakanov, con estadísticas impresionantes (97 Power Punch, 95 precisión, 94 golpes de tierra), aumenta significativamente la división de peso semipesado. También se incluyen tres alter egos de combate adicionales, aunque sus identidades permanecen sin revelar.

Más allá de las nuevas incorporaciones de luchador, Patch 1.18 incluye ajustes de juego, reduciendo el costo de resistencia del modificador muscular y correcciones de errores.
