De Game Awards 2024: een showcase van uitmuntende gaming

De Game Awards 2024, onder leiding van Geoff Keighley, heeft de genomineerden in 19 prestigieuze categorieën bekendgemaakt, met als hoogtepunt de felbegeerde Game of the Year (GOTY)-prijs. De kanshebbers van dit jaar vertegenwoordigen een breed scala aan titels, die de breedte en diepte van het gaminglandschap laten zien.

GOTY 2024: Een strijd tussen de Titanen

De race voor GOTY 2024 is hevig competitief, waarbij zware spelers strijden om de eerste plaats. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth leidt met zeven nominaties, maar krijgt te maken met stevige concurrentie van Astro Bot, Balatro, Black Myth: Wukong, Metaphor: ReFantazio en het controversiële Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. De opname van de uitbreiding van Elden Ring heeft tot discussie geleid binnen de gaminggemeenschap.

Stemmen is nu open voor het publiek en loopt tot 11 december via de officiële website van The Game Awards en de Discord-server.

De Game Awards 2024: waar en wanneer

De winnaars worden op 12 december 2024 bekendgemaakt in het Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles. Het evenement wordt live gestreamd op de website van The Game Awards, evenals op verschillende sociale mediaplatforms en streamingdiensten, waaronder Twitch, TikTok en YouTube.
