Letterlike Is a New Word Game That’s Like Balatro But with Scrabble!

Wordsmiths, get ready for a new word game challenge! Letterlike, a roguelike word game, blends the best of Balatro and Scrabble. Prepare for a unique combination of vocabulary skills and unpredictable roguelike elements – a truly fresh take on word puzzles!

Crafting Words in Letterlike

Letterlike's roguelike nature means every playthrough offers a unique set of letters and challenges, all procedurally generated. This guarantees endless replayability and the thrill of constant new victories.

Each game starts with a letter set. Your mission: create words, score points, and conquer levels. Each level comprises three rounds.

To progress, you must earn enough points by forming high-scoring words, similar to Scrabble. However, you only have five attempts (lives) per round, so choose your words carefully!

Facing a frustrating letter combination? Don't despair. You can discard letters, but this option is limited, requiring strategic choices.

A helpful rearrange mode allows you to drag, drop, and shuffle letters to optimize your word creation.

Letterlike's final round introduces a twist: a special ability renders certain letters worthless, awarding zero points.

Earned points and rewards unlock helpful items to boost your game. Some buffs are automatic, while others require reaching specific levels. Collected gems also unlock powerful upgrades, making future runs smoother.

Ready to Play?

Letterlike is simple, minimalist, and incredibly fun. The game allows replaying specific runs with friends using shared seeds. Share those frustrating letter combinations and let your friends experience the same challenge!

The game is ad-free with a one-time purchase and offers offline play. A free demo is available, so try it out on the Google Play Store before committing.
