Lies of P: DLC and Sequel Announced! A Year of Success and What's Next

Lies of P DLC Teased, Sequel to Come as Well

Director Ji-Won Choi recently penned a heartfelt message to the Lies of P community, celebrating the game's first anniversary and teasing upcoming content. The message serves as both a thank you to fans and a preview of the planned DLC and a future sequel.

More Strings for P's Puppets:

Choi expressed gratitude for the enthusiastic reception of Lies of P, highlighting the team's dedication to developing the upcoming DLC amidst the Korean summer heat. He emphasized the DLC's aim to build upon the base game's strengths while addressing previous shortcomings. The goal, as Choi stated, is to "do better on what we did well and improve in areas we have room to grow." He also acknowledged the contributions of Team NOUGH and ROUND8 Studio.

The most exciting reveal was concept art depicting P in a snowy location, gazing at a lighthouse. This hints at a new, potentially perilous, story expansion. Accompanying the art, Choi shared a musical piece from the DLC's soundtrack, "Lisrim," originally composed in 2022 by onoken. The music video features a character with a clockwork weapon rescuing a captive girl, mirroring the game's aesthetic.

DLC Release Date and Beyond:

While a precise release date remains unannounced, NEOWIZ's Q1 2024 earnings report indicates a launch sometime in the second half of 2024. The DLC will be released alongside other titles: The Legend of Heroes: Gagharv Trilogy, Cats & Soup: Malang Town, Cats & Soup: Magic Recipe, and Project IG.

Last November, an eight-minute video showcased early concept art, revealing environments such as an industrial facility and a wrecked ship, further expanding the world of Lies of P.

Choi concluded with a promise to transform fan anticipation into delight. While players await the DLC, it's worth noting that this is only the beginning; a full sequel is also in development.
