Want to use or mute voice chat in Monster Hunter Wilds? While it's a multiplayer game, you're not obligated to chat. If you do want to use in-game voice chat (instead of Discord or other party chat), here's how to manage it.

All voice chat settings are located in the game's audio options menu. Navigate to the options menu (either in-game or on the main menu screen), and select the third tab from the right. Scroll down slightly to find the Voice Chat settings. You'll find three options: Enable, Disable, and Push-to-Talk. "Enable" keeps voice chat constantly on; "Disable" turns it off completely; and "Push-to-Talk" activates voice chat only when you press a designated key (keyboard only).
Further options include adjusting the voice chat volume and configuring voice chat auto-toggle. Auto-toggle lets you prioritize voice chat with quest members (those currently in your active quest), link party members (those in a party with you, useful for collaborative story progression), or disable auto-switching entirely. Using the quest member option is generally recommended for most players.
That covers voice chat in Monster Hunter Wilds. While the audio quality isn't as high as dedicated communication apps, the in-game option is convenient, particularly for cross-platform play.
