Indie developer Theo Clarke's new game, Plantoons, lets you turn your garden into a strategic battlefield. It shares some similarities with Plants vs. Zombies, but offers a unique twist on tower defense gameplay.
In Plantoons, your garden transforms into a gladiator arena where plants fight off waves of invading weeds. Forget passive plant placement; you'll level up and upgrade your plant warriors as you face increasingly challenging weed attacks.
The game begins by selecting a plant from your arsenal and deploying it on the battlefield. Your mission: defend against increasingly aggressive weed incursions. Hopefully, these weeds are less menacing than their zombie counterparts!
As you progress, you'll collect reward cards that enhance your plant army. These cards offer various boosts, including attack power, defense improvements, and increased pollen production. Strategic plant placement within the meadow is key to building a strong defensive line.
Each plant boasts unique abilities and stats. Successfully completing challenges expands your Card Bank, allowing for customized deck building and strategic enhancements.
