Wang Yue, an upcoming fantasy ARPG, is entering its testing phase after securing its publication license in China. A technical test, involving a select group of players to identify bugs and gather feedback, is imminent.
A Fractured World
Wang Yue's technical test introduces a world ravaged by a malevolent sun, resulting in two distinct continents suspended by unusual gravitational forces. Tian Yue City, a breathtaking inverted metropolis, floats above a desolate, ruined landscape. Players assume the role of Qing Wu, a mysterious protagonist betrayed and thrust into this chaotic reality. The game explores the unusual reverence for the once-destructive sun, the secrets of the upside-down city, and the motives of those seeking Qing Wu's demise.
Player Agency and Dynamic Interactions
Wang Yue deviates from traditional open-world formulas, prioritizing exploration and player-driven narratives. Players are free to explore both the skies above Tian Yue City and the ruins below, uncovering hidden secrets and influencing the game world. Non-player characters (NPCs) react dynamically to player actions, ranging from calling authorities for disruptive behavior to expressing gratitude for assistance.
The developers encourage player participation through upcoming discussions, design contests, and other community events to shape the game's development. Registration for the technical test is now open on the official website.
