Kai: Encountered early in Dawnshore, near Paradis, Kai, a formidable ex-mercenary with a tender heart, is your first true Companion. His tank-like combat style combines high damage output with impressive survivability. His fire abilities prove invaluable for clearing obstacles and revealing hidden treasures.

Kai's Upgradable Abilities:

• Fire and Ire (Active): A powerful blunderbuss shot that stuns and taunts a single enemy.
• Unbending Defense (Active): Regenerates health and significantly reduces damage taken.
• Leap of Daring (Active): A powerful leap that stuns and taunts nearby enemies.
• Second Win (Passive): Revives Kai upon reaching zero health, restoring a portion of his health.

Marius: Found in Dawnshore, Marius shares a history with Kai. This expert hunter and tracker brings his skills to both combat and exploration. His "Hunter Sense" ability aids in locating loot and crafting materials. He excels in ranged and melee combat, utilizing a bow, daggers, and nature-based traps.

Marius' Upgradable Abilities:

• Binding Roots (Active): Roots an enemy in place.
• Heart Seeker (Active): A piercing shot that ignores obstacles.
• Shadow Step (Active): Vanishes and reappears near an enemy for a series of attacks.
• Wounding Shots (Passive): Inflicts bleeding on enemies.

Giatta: Recruited later in the Emerald Stair region, Giatta, an animancer, plays a crucial role in the main quest's spiritual mysteries. Her support-oriented magic heals, shields, and buffs allies. Her "Spectral Jolt" ability activates Essence Generators, opening up new paths and hidden loot.
