Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will arrive in Call of Duty

Activision has revealed a new crossover event for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Call of Duty: Warzone, bringing back the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. This isn't the first time these heroes have graced an Activision title.

While specifics regarding the collaboration's content and launch date (described only as "soon") remain undisclosed by Activision, the CODWarfareForum website has offered some unverified details.

Rumored additions include operator skins for all four turtles (although the absence of April O'Neil, Master Splinter, and Shredder is notable). New melee weapons are also anticipated: a skateboard, katana, nunchucks, and a staff. The crossover's main events are expected to unfold on the Grind map, a skatepark setting perfectly suited to the theme.

Despite the announcement, fan reaction has been muted. This isn't due to a lack of popularity for the TMNT franchise, but rather stems from the current troubled state of Black Ops Cold War. The game's prevalent bugs and cheating issues have significantly impacted its player base. The timing of this collaboration, therefore, feels somewhat ill-advised, leaving many questioning its ultimate impact and duration.
