Tencent's Polaris Quest Unveils Ambitious Open-World RPG, Light of Motiram, for Mobile
Today brings exciting news for gamers! Not only has Project Mugen received an official title, but Tencent's Polaris Quest has announced its open-world RPG, Light of Motiram, is coming to mobile devices.
Initially revealed on Chinese social media (via Gematsu), Light of Motiram will launch on Epic Games Store, Steam, PlayStation 5, and, surprisingly, mobile. This is ambitious considering the game's impressive visuals and expansive feature set.

What exactly is Light of Motiram? It's a genre-bending experience. Described as an open-world RPG, it incorporates elements reminiscent of Genshin Impact (open world), Rust (base building), Horizon Zero Dawn (giant mechanical creatures), and even Palworld (creature customization and training). The sheer number of features is both surprising and intriguing, though raises questions about its feasibility across multiple platforms, particularly mobile.
While a mobile beta is reportedly in development, details remain scarce. It's unclear how Tencent and Polaris Quest will successfully implement such a visually rich and complex game on smartphones.
For now, more information on the mobile release is pending. In the meantime, check out our list of the top five new mobile games to play this week!
