Upon its launch, Schedule I soared to the top of Steam's sales charts, outpacing major titles like Monster Hunter Wilds, GTA 5, and Marvel Rivals, thanks to its viral spread across social media, Twitch, and YouTube. In the game, players start as small-time dealers in the gritty city of Hyland Point, with the goal of rising to the status of a drug kingpin through manufacturing, distribution, and empire expansion via properties, businesses, and employees.
Developed and published by TVGS, an indie studio led by Australian developer Tyler, he described the game's explosive launch as "amazing but pretty overwhelming." "I never expected this kind of response!" Tyler shared on Reddit. "Currently, I'm focusing on getting patches out as quickly as possible and am eager to start working on content updates once all major bugs are resolved."
