War Thunder Mobile's Open Beta Aircraft Battles Soar!
Gaijin Entertainment has launched the open beta for aircraft battles in War Thunder Mobile, delivering intense aerial combat. This update introduces over 100 planes from three nations (with more to come!), expanding the game beyond its previous naval and ground support aircraft involvement. A dedicated air-focused mode and a full aerial tech tree are now available.
Explore the Skies: USA, Germany, and the USSR Aircraft
The open beta currently features iconic aircraft from the USA, Germany, and the USSR, including the P-51 Mustang, Messerschmitt Bf 109, and La-5. Additional nations will be added in future updates. Players can choose to focus on a single nation's tech tree or diversify their progress across multiple nations. Top-tier aircraft can be acquired via blueprints earned through in-game events, starting in early October.
The Aviation Campaign and Hangar
The open beta introduces a new Aviation campaign, accessible through the aircraft hangar. Here, players can research tech trees, upgrade crews, and manage their aircraft. Squadrons of up to four planes can be formed, allowing for customization of aircraft and armaments.
Aircraft Hangar and Customization
The aircraft hangar serves as the central hub between battles. Players can manage vehicles, select camouflage, review the tech tree, and invite friends to squads. Each aircraft slot offers options to swap vehicles, modify armaments, and upgrade assigned crews. Squadron composition is flexible, allowing for diverse aircraft regardless of class, nation, or rank.
