Un ancien employé de Repawn Entertainment a récemment révélé que LinkedIn a interrompu le développement d'un nouveau jeu cette semaine. Le projet, qui était en cours depuis plusieurs années, a été brusquement arrêté sans aucune explication publique concernant les raisons de cette décision.
L'année dernière, le journaliste de jeu Jeff Grubb a rapporté que ce projet n'était pas une entrée principale dans la série Titanfall, clarifiant spécifiquement qu'il n'était pas Titanfall 3. Pour donner vie à cette vision, réapparaissait une "équipe expérimentale" dédiée composée d'experts en développement de tir multijoueurs.
Ce n'est pas la première fois que réapprovisionnera à annuler un projet. L'année dernière, ils ont également fermé un tireur d'arcade nommé Titanfall Legends, marquant un autre revers pour le studio.
La série Titanfall, réputée pour son mélange exaltant d'action et de pilotage mech, permet aux joueurs de se livrer au combat soit en tant que pilotes agiles, soit en tant que Titans formidables. Depuis ses débuts en 2014, la franchise a captivé les joueurs dans le monde entier avec son gameplay innovant, avec un parkour et des batailles d'équipe intenses.
Actuellement, Respawn Entertainment canalise ses efforts dans le développement du troisième épisode de la série Star Wars Jedi et d'un nouveau jeu de stratégie dans l'univers Star Wars, qui est développé en partenariat avec Bit Reactor.
