Jun 27,2025 Author: Andrew

PlayStation Plus subscribers have a lot to look forward to in January 2025, as Sony has officially revealed the new titles joining the Extra and Premium tiers of its subscription service. For those aiming to maximize their membership value, the Premium tier is the ideal choice—it includes all games from the Essential and Extra tiers, plus exclusive Premium titles and additional perks.

All PlayStation Plus members, regardless of their subscription level, already have access to the free PS Plus games for January 2025: Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered, and The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe. These titles will remain available until they are replaced by February’s offerings. Meanwhile, PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers can also enjoy the upcoming additions to the regularly refreshed game catalog.

On Tuesday, January 21, Sony will update the PS Plus Extra and Premium libraries with a robust lineup of new titles. The PS Plus Extra tier will welcome ANNO: Mutationem, Atlas Fallen: Reign of Sand, Citizen Sleeper, God of War Ragnarok, Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, Orcs Must Die 3, Poker Club, Sayonara Wild Hearts, and SD Gundam Battle Alliance. In addition, Premium-tier subscribers will gain exclusive access to Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings and Medievil 2, bringing the total number of new titles available to Premium users to 11.

Among these additions, God of War Ragnarok stands out as a major highlight. Widely regarded as one of the most acclaimed PlayStation titles ever released, it’s a must-play for fans of epic storytelling and intense combat. Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name also delivers high-octane action and deep narrative immersion, continuing the legacy of the beloved Yakuza series.

However, Citizen Sleeper deserves special attention. This well-received RPG originally launched in 2022 and is now making its way to PS Plus Extra just ahead of its sequel's release on January 31. Its arrival offers both newcomers and returning players a timely opportunity to experience this engaging spacefaring narrative.
