Stardew Valley's highly anticipated 1.6 update finally arrives on mobile devices on November 4th, 2024, following its March 2024 PC release. Console players also receive this substantial update.
What's New in Stardew Valley 1.6 Mobile?
This update significantly expands the game. Online multiplayer now supports up to eight players, doubling the previous capacity. New fishing festivals – the Trout Derby and SquidFest – join existing seasonal events like the Desert Festival.
A fresh farm layout, the Meadowlands Farm, offers ample space for livestock and fishing. Over 100 new NPC dialogues enrich interactions with the town's inhabitants.
Numerous additions enhance gameplay. A larger Big Chest, a dehydrator, a heavy furnace, and a bait maker provide helpful tools. Over 25 new hats and furniture styles boost customization. Prize tickets earned from quests and festivals can be redeemed at a machine in Lewis' house.
Players can now own multiple pets after fully befriending their initial companion, who may now bring gifts and wear hats. NPCs sport new winter attire. A golden Joja parrot assists in finding golden walnuts on Ginger Island. New crops include carrots, summer squash, broccoli, powdermelon, and two giant crop varieties.
Reasons for the Delay
The mobile and console release delay stemmed from the developers' thorough PC testing to identify and resolve any bugs before wider release. The update's November arrival promises new fishing events, pet interactions, and crop varieties.
