8 Games to Exit Xbox Game Pass in May 2025

Jun 14,2025 Author: Nicholas

Microsoft has revealed the list of games set to leave the Xbox Game Pass subscription service on May 15, 2025. A total of eight titles are scheduled to depart, including notable games such as Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, Jurassic World Evolution 2, and Little Kitty, Big City.

The Xbox Game Pass is a versatile gaming subscription service available on both Xbox and PC platforms. It allows members to stream games directly to smart devices and consoles, access new releases on launch day (depending on their subscription tier), and enjoy a vast library of high-quality games—either solo or with friends—across console, PC, or cloud. From this expansive catalog, the following eight games will soon be removed:

  • Dune: Spice Wars
  • Hauntii
  • Jurassic World Evolution 2

  • Planet of Lana
  • The Big Con

Following their removal, Microsoft is expected to announce the second wave of new games arriving on Xbox Game Pass for May 2025.

Earlier this month, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers received an exciting new feature: the ability to stream select games directly to their consoles without needing to download them first.

This enhancement was announced via an official Xbox Wire post, which revealed that Ultimate members can now stream games from the Game Pass catalog—as well as "select games they own"—on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles using cloud streaming. While this functionality was previously available on smart TVs, PCs, smartphones, and Meta Quest headsets, this marks the first time it’s accessible directly on Xbox consoles.

In related news, if the recent announcement that Grand Theft Auto 6 has been delayed until May 2026 has reignited your desire to play GTA 5, remember that GTA 5 Enhanced Edition is now available on both Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass. This marks the first time the title has been added to the PC version of the service—an exciting opportunity for fans to dive back into Los Santos.
