Blizzard Unveils Warcraft Convention Extravaganza

Blizzard's Warcraft 30th Anniversary World Tour: A Global Celebration

Blizzard Entertainment is commemorating three decades of Warcraft with a worldwide tour featuring six conventions across the globe from February to May 2025. These events promise live entertainment, exclusive activities, and opportunities to connect with Warcraft game developers.

Unlike the large-scale BlizzCon, these will be more intimate gatherings. Free tickets will be distributed, but availability will be extremely limited. Information on how to secure tickets will be released via regional Warcraft channels. Keep an eye on your preferred region's official channels for updates.

The tour kicks off in London on February 22nd and continues to Seoul, Toronto, Sydney, Sao Paulo, and finally Boston (coinciding with PAX East) on May 10th.

Confirmed Tour Dates:

  • February 22: London, UK
  • March 8: Seoul, South Korea
  • March 15: Toronto, Canada
  • April 3: Sydney, Australia
  • April 19: Sao Paulo, Brazil
  • May 10: Boston, USA (during PAX East)

While specifics remain scarce, the focus will be on creating memorable experiences rather than major announcements. Expect engaging entertainment, unique activities, and developer meetups.

The decision to forgo BlizzCon in 2024 led to alternative events like Gamescom attendance and the inaugural Warcraft Direct. This World Tour serves as another innovative approach to fan engagement, celebrating milestones such as World of Warcraft's 20th anniversary, Hearthstone's 10th, and Warcraft Rumble's first year.

The future of BlizzCon remains uncertain. A potential late summer/early autumn event could showcase the upcoming World of Warcraft: Midnight expansion's content, including the highly anticipated player housing. However, the possibility of a biennial convention schedule, similar to Final Fantasy XIV's Fan Festival, remains a strong consideration.

Regardless of BlizzCon's status, the Warcraft 30th Anniversary World Tour presents a unique opportunity for fans to immerse themselves in the Warcraft universe. Don't miss your chance to secure a ticket!
