Boxing Star introduces fierce animal-themed MegaPunches and new Gym gear

While purists might turn up their noses, there's no denying that swapping out simulation for gamification makes for a more enjoyable experience. Take ThumbAge's hit arcade sports game, Boxing Star, which brilliantly blends exaggerated expressions with intense action. And now, if you're looking to pack an extra punch, two new MegaPunches have been added to the mix!

MegaPunches are essentially super moves, similar to Critical Arts in Street Fighter. Once your Hyper Gauge is sufficiently charged, you can unleash a devastating blow to knock your opponent flat. Boxing Star boasts a variety of these powerful moves, and with the latest update, players can now get their hands on two new MegaPunches.

These new MegaPunches bring an animalistic twist to your attacks. The Flame Bone, inspired by the mythical dragon, engulfs your opponent in flames, dealing damage based on critical hits. Meanwhile, the Frost Fang infuses your punch with ice, freezing opponents in their tracks and inflicting damage while the icy barrier is up.

In addition to the new MegaPunches, Boxing Star is also introducing fresh gym equipment to help you train between matches. The Deadlift boosts your skill damage stats and can be upgraded all the way to level 8. The Training Timer, on the other hand, reduces the time needed to train your skills, ensuring you're always ready for the next fight.

While Boxing Star may not offer a realistic simulation of boxing (unless you're picturing a match between Superman and the Hulk), it certainly doesn't skimp on the exciting, flashy content.
