Monster Hunter Wilds is set to receive its first Title Update tomorrow, introducing exciting new quests that emphasize speed and competition. These quests will encourage players to achieve the fastest clear times, adding a thrilling element to the gameplay. However, Capcom is taking a firm stance against cheating to ensure a fair and enjoyable experience for all players.
In a recent post on X/Twitter, Capcom issued a clear warning: "To ensure a fun and fair experience for our players, we will take action against accounts participating in fraudulent ranking activity, such as the use of cheating or external tools. Accounts deemed to be in breach of this may be suspended, or have restrictions placed on them, such as being unable to receive rewards from these quests." This statement underscores Capcom's commitment to maintaining the integrity of the game.
Not only will cheaters face consequences, but Capcom also cautioned that players engaging in multiplayer hunts with cheaters could see their quest completion times invalidated. This could result in the revocation of rewards for everyone in the party. Capcom advised players to "take caution to avoid playing multiplayer with those who are engaging in prohibited activity, or those you suspect of such," and encouraged reporting any observed cheating.
The rewards for these time-based quests include attractive cosmetic pendants, some of which will be awarded to all participants, while others depend on Completion Time or the hunter's ranking. This reward system explains Capcom's rigorous approach to combat cheating and ensure a level playing field.
The Time-Based Competition Quests will be accessible through the new Arena Quest Counter in the Grand Hub in Suja, which players can unlock by completing a special tutorial mission. Make sure to head straight to the Grand Hub once Title Update 1 goes live tomorrow in Monster Hunter Wilds. For more details, check out the Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 1 patch notes.
