Aspyr is finally bringing Android users in line with the global Civilization VI experience. On June 12th, the Android version of Sid Meier’s Civilization VI will get a major update. It includes long-awaited features, maps, and content, making it equal to other platforms. Along with the update, two major expansions will be available for purchase on Android for the first time.
To start, the update adds three new units. Trebuchets now bridge the gap between Catapults and Bombards. Man-at-Arms strengthen your melee line in the Medieval era, and Line Infantry smooth the transition from Musketmen to late-game Infantry. These units fill progression gaps, expanding your strategic options throughout the game.
You’ll also get four new maps, including a large Mediterranean map and a vast Earth map. Each comes with variants that place your civilization in its historical capital. For players looking for different gameplay, the Tech and Civic Shuffle and Barbarian Clans modes are coming to Android too. These bring a welcome dose of unpredictability.

The update also brings highly requested features such as Natural Wonder and City-State Pickers. These let you customize world generation, along with the Leader Selection Pool and the new leader Julius Caesar. Additionally, over 50 bugs will be fixed, and multiplayer performance receives a solid upgrade.
