Darkside Detective Series Unveiled: Mystery Unraveled in Point-and-Click Epic

Akupara Games has recently released a flurry of titles. Following our coverage of the deck-building game Zoeti, we now turn our attention to The Darkside Detective, a quirky puzzle adventure, and its recently released sequel, The Darkside Detective: A Fumble in the Dark (yes, both are available!).

Exploring the World of The Darkside Detective

The game plunges players into the perpetually gloomy, fog-shrouded town of Twin Lakes, a place where the bizarre and the supernatural are commonplace. Our heroes are Detective Francis McQueen and his endearingly inept partner, Officer Patrick Dooley.

Together, they form the Darkside Division, the perpetually underfunded unit of the Twin Lakes Police Department. Players will solve nine unique cases, delving into the hilarious and strange world of The Darkside Detective and its equally witty sequel.

These point-and-click adventures offer a diverse range of challenges, from time-travel mysteries and monstrous tentacles to the secrets of a creepy carnival and even mafia zombies! See the action for yourself in the trailer below:

Ready to Investigate? ---------------------------

The game is a delightful homage to pop culture, brimming with references to classic horror films, sci-fi shows, and buddy cop movies. Case titles alone are intriguing: Malice in Wonderland, Tome Alone, Disorient Express, Police Farce, Don of the Dead, Buy Hard, and Baits Motel.

The game's masterful blend of humor and pixel art is a standout feature. The Darkside Detective is available on the Google Play Store for $6.99. Interestingly, you can jump straight into A Fumble in the Dark without playing the first game – it's also available on Google Play.
