Days Gone Remastered: Enhanced PS5 Experience with New Game Modes
Bend Studio's post-apocalyptic adventure, Days Gone, is getting a remastered release for PlayStation 5, announced during Sony's February 2025 State of Play. This enhanced version boasts significant upgrades, including new gameplay features and improved visuals.
Key additions include a permadeath mode, a speedrun mode, an enhanced photo mode, and expanded accessibility options. A new Horde Assault arcade mode challenges players with larger-than-ever Freaker hordes. The game will also leverage PS5 Pro capabilities and support Variable Refresh Rate (VRR).
Days Gone Remastered launches April 25, 2025, priced at $49.99. PS4 owners can upgrade for $10. Pre-orders begin tomorrow, offering eight PSN avatars and five early in-game unlocks as bonuses.
This PS5 release continues Sony's trend of bringing popular PS4 titles to the next-gen console with enhanced features. It joins other upgraded titles like The Last of Us Part I and Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered.
PC players aren't left out. The $10 Broken Roads DLC will bring the new modes, accessibility features, DualSense support (if applicable), and the enhanced photo mode to the PC version of Days Gone.
A PlayStation.Blog post further details the PS5 enhancements. Days Gone Remastered is built from the ground up for PS5, offering improved visuals selectable via Performance or Quality modes. PS5 Pro users will experience further visual enhancements and utilize DualSense controller features like haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. The improved visuals and sounds are said to make Oregon's post-apocalyptic landscape even more immersive.
