Defeating the Peeper in R.E.P.O.
This elusive ceiling-dwelling foe is tough to spot and often detects you first. Appearing randomly across the map, the Peeper is a giant eyeball that remains closed until a player enters its range.
Once alerted, the Peeper locks eyes with you, preventing you from looking away and draining two HP points per second. While its damage is minimal, as a low-tier threat, the Peeper’s gaze can disorient players significantly.
When caught in the Peeper’s stare, your view zooms in on the eyeball, complicating movement and potentially hindering escapes from other enemies.
Stay vigilant, as Peepers can spawn anywhere. Always plan an escape route, such as retreating around a corner or through a door. Closing a door can be challenging but effective. If playing with a teammate, have them shut the door to break the Peeper’s gaze. Keep moving and stay calm to maintain control.
To eliminate a Peeper, use the ‘Gun,’ available at the Service Station for approximately $47K. It may require multiple shots to defeat the creature. Aiming while trapped in its gaze is tough but manageable with composure. As with all challenges in R.E.P.O., teamwork simplifies the task.
