The dragonkin remains a formidable challenge in the Dungeon Fighter Online universe, and players will face this menace in The First Berserker: Khazan. Precision is key, and for those seeking guidance to defeat Viper in The First Berserker: Khazan, here’s the strategy to follow.

How to Defeat Viper in The First Berserker: Khazan

Viper, a high-ranking dragonkin crafted by Hismar, leads fallen dragons to sow chaos. This powerful adversary poses a significant challenge, even without drawing on Hismar’s strength.

Once your weapon skills are prepared, summon the Spirit of Advocacy outside the boss gate for extra support. When facing Viper, stay alert for these attacks:

  • Three-hit combo: two stabs followed by a spear swing
  • Two-hit spear-swing combo, moving left to right
  • A wide sweep, a leap back, and up to two spear throws—watch for the returning spear
  • Four-hit combo with a spinning spear and swipes in both directions

Master timed blocks and Perfect Guards to quickly drain Viper’s stamina, then press the attack with relentless strikes and Brutal Attacks when openings arise. The Spirit of Advocacy serves as a valuable distraction. At half health, Viper roars and summons an energy tornado—retreat to avoid being pulled in.

After the energy blast, beware of Viper’s leaping slam. A flashing spear tip signals a grab attack—dodge right to evade. Viper also unleashes a new ranged attack, spinning its spear vertically, followed by two jumping strikes.

Viper’s attacks grow stronger and gain additional hits, so maintain a defensive stance with consistent blocking. Landing a Perfect Guard on the final hit of its five-hit combo staggers Viper, creating a prime opportunity for heavy damage.

Deplete Viper’s health, and the true battle begins.

Phase 2

Empowered by Hismar, Viper returns with a full health bar and heightened ferocity. It wields its fortified left arm for smashes and swipes, and a massive sword for slashing attacks. When it roars, brace for two wide arm strikes followed by a Burst Attack—use a Counterattack to stun Viper and gain the upper hand.

At half health, Viper summons a storm that darkens the arena. Each lightning flash signals a leap toward you with an attack. This repeats multiple times, ending with a charge and an uppercut. Parry or dodge these moves and capitalize on Viper’s aggression. A new leaping slam joins its arsenal, so adjust your positioning accordingly.

Monitor your stamina closely to avoid exhaustion during Viper’s prolonged combos. Defeating Viper yields over 10,000 Lacrima, Hismar’s Scale, several Fallen Lord items, and the Hunter’s Ring.

This guide should clarify how to triumph over Viper in The First Berserker: Khazan. For further assistance, explore additional resources on The Escapist.
