In the expansive universe of *Astro Bot*, players can explore dozens of worlds, but there's a special treat hidden within the game: the Lost Galaxy. This secret area contains ten unique worlds, accessible only through hidden portals scattered across ten different stages. Here's a detailed guide to help you locate these elusive portals and unlock the wonders of the Lost Galaxy.
As you navigate through *Astro Bot*, keep an eye out for stages marked with a distinctive swirly icon. This icon indicates the presence of a portal to the Lost Galaxy, which could be hidden anywhere from the beginning to the end of a level. To save you time and effort, here's a comprehensive guide to finding each portal.
Midway through the level, you'll encounter a dark room with a wall surrounded by four lit torches. Use the Twin-Frog Gloves to extinguish the flames, and the wall will reveal the portal to the Lost Galaxy.
Early in the level, you'll find a snowy arena with a bouncing ladybug enemy. Move past it to encounter a charging pig. Grab the pig and swing it towards the icy statue at the edge of the platform. Once the statue is destroyed, backtrack, flip over the ladybug, and bounce up to a new platform. Perform a charged spin attack to access the secret portal.
After defeating Captain Pincher, look for his claw embedded in the ground. A glowing light nearby signals where to perform a charged spin attack. Drill into the ground to uncover a hidden room with the secret portal.
Near the end of the level, you'll encounter a bubble-blowing frog. Blow into the controller to activate the frog, then shrink and ride a bubble to a branch above the bot. Navigate to the opposite branch to find the secret portal.
This portal is the easiest to find. At the start of the level, turn around to see platforms with an electric enemy. Swim over, bait the enemy to electrocute the platforms, and the wall behind will open, revealing the hidden portal.
Midway through the level, locate a house with a flaming chimney. After absorbing water, climb to the roof and extinguish the flames. Hop down the chimney to enter a room with the secret portal.
At the level's end, turn right to find an area with falling jewels. Use the bounce pad to reach a hidden area. Before accessing the portal, you'll need to deactivate a trap by finding hidden switches in two walls that push you back. Once the switches are activated, the pathway to the portal will open.
This is the most challenging portal to find. Obtain the puffer-fish power-up and backtrack to an area near the start with a distant platform and a bouncing ladybug. Flip the ladybug, punch it towards the platform, and bounce on it. Use the puffer-fish power-up and Astro's hover ability to reach the platform. Use motion controls to cut down surrounding bamboo, revealing the portal. Run around its perimeter to activate it.
After defeating Djinny and reaching the goal, climb the ruins. Look for glowing spots on the ground indicating invisible platforms. Hover over these platforms to reach an elevated area. Unroll the rug to ride to another platform, where the secret portal awaits.
Before confronting the boss, roll a snowball until it becomes large enough to use as a platform. Use it to reach an area along the cliff, where you'll find the final secret portal in *Astro Bot*.
