Originally announced in June 2020 and teased intermittently over the years, skate. is finally entering active playtesting on PlayStation and Xbox platforms. While there’s no official word yet on when the PC beta will begin, interested players can still register as Skate Insiders to receive updates and future access opportunities.
According to the game’s official X (Twitter) account, console testing has reportedly been underway since December—and possibly even earlier, as hinted by a highlight reel dating back to September. Despite this, developer Full Circle continues to welcome new participants, as development remains in full swing.

If you want to be part of the beta test, simply visit EA’s official website and navigate to the skate. game page to sign up for Insider Playtesting. Not only will you get early access to the game, but you’ll also unlock exclusive in-game rewards—like a special skateboard and sticker pack—when the Early Access version launches.
skate. is scheduled to launch in Early Access sometime in 2025. This marks the first new installment in nearly a decade, following the release of Skate 3. The game will be available across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms. Set in the fictional metropolis of San Vansterdam, skate. aims to deliver a modern, authentic evolution of the beloved skateboarding series. As Full Circle explained during a previous YouTube interview, the title will function as a free-to-play live-service game, capturing the spirit of the franchise while pushing it forward for a new generation of players.
