Escape from Tarkov update 0.16.0.0 changes revealed

Escape from Tarkov received a big update to the version 0.16.0.0. While the technical works are still in the process, Battlestate Games released a huge changelog with all the new features and bug fixes. Also, a new Escape from Tarkov trailer has been out:

Highlights of Escape from Tarkov 0.16.0.0 update

Battlestate Games introduced a new Escape from Tarkov event called Khorovod. Like usual, it introduces special tasks with special rewards, but this time it also introduces a special Khorovod mode. The goal is to light a Christmas tree and protect it. It is available at a certain stage in six different locations.

Also, a big new feature is Prestige. In order to keep the fun for those who love to grind, Battlestate Games introduced Prestige mode to Escape from Tarkov PvP. The mechanics are somewhat similar to Call of Duty. After you achieve level 55, complete certain quests and achieve enough resources, you will have the option to reset the character while retaining some of the equipment and getting rewards that will not be affected by wipes. The rewards include achievements, different cosmetics and additional tasks. 

Currently there will be only 2 prestige levels available, but later developers promise to add eight more. This should keep even the most dedicated Escape from Tarkov fans entertained.

Switch to Unity 2022 engineNew Frostbite status effect: if your character catches cold, they will have reduced vision and stamina. Alcohol, warm sources and shelters will help to deal with it.Winter themed upgrades and changes to the gameCustoms map reworked: textures were replaced, and new objects and points of interest appeared.Seven new weapons, including two assault rifles and a rocket launcher.Hidden exfils which allow you to leave the raid. With this update, a usual wipe in Escape from Tarkov happened, so after the servers go life in several hours, people will have lots of things to discover.
