Fake Elden Ring Nightreign Test Invites Circulated by Scammers

Apr 13,2025 Author: Camila

Exciting news for fans of Elden Ring: Bandai Namco has started sending out emails to participants for the closed testing of Elden Ring Nightreign, set to take place from February 14 to 17, 2025. This exclusive testing phase offers players a first look at the game, which features a three-person cooperative mode, as outlined in the official correspondence.

However, due to the high anticipation surrounding Nightreign, there's been an uptick in fraudulent activities. Scammers are circulating fake testing invitations that mimic official Bandai Namco notifications. These deceitful emails often include links to counterfeit websites resembling Steam, aiming to trick users into entering their login credentials. Once users log into these fraudulent sites, they risk losing access to their accounts. There have even been cases where players received similar scam messages from their own friends' compromised accounts. Fortunately, some affected users were able to recover their accounts by reaching out to Steam support.

It's crucial to remain vigilant and cautious with any links you encounter. Always verify the authenticity of the sources before clicking. When in doubt, stick to official channels and avoid clicking on suspicious links.

In other news related to Elden Ring: Nightreign, players will notice a significant change in gameplay. The messaging feature, a staple in FromSoftware games, will not be available in Nightreign. In an interview, project director Junya Ishizaki explained this decision. Given the roughly forty-minute duration of Nightreign gaming sessions, there simply isn't enough time for players to leave or check messages. As a result, the messaging system has been disabled to enhance the focus on gameplay during these sessions.
