Attention, Sim enthusiasts! Brace yourselves because the notorious Burglar is making a grand return in the latest update for The Sims 4. Available now on both PC and console, this update brings back the infamous Robin Banks, signaling it's time to secure your in-game valuables before nightfall. Known for her nocturnal escapades, Robin typically targets homes when everyone's tucked in bed. However, don't let your guard down completely—she's been known to pull off a daring heist even when Sims are awake. Stay vigilant!
To fend off this crafty thief, your Sims can install a burglar alarm. Should Robin trigger it, the police are guaranteed to arrive promptly, arrest her, and retrieve your stolen items. Homes without an alarm aren't completely defenseless; a quick call to the police can still save the day. For those who prefer a more hands-on approach, vigilante justice is always an option. The choice is yours.

While burglar events are relatively rare by design, thrill-seekers can increase their chances of encountering Robin by activating the Lot Challenge Heist Havoc.
"We are so thrilled to finally bring the Burglar back into The Sims universe," The Sims' team announced. "A huge shout out to our dedicated team for making this a reality. Robin Banks isn’t just here to rob your Sims’ houses—she’s here to steal your hearts too! What better way to celebrate The Sims' 25th Birthday than with this nostalgic yet fresh addition? We hope you’re as excited as we are to see what kind of chaos Robin Banks will bring to your households."
Even at 10 years old, The Sims 4 remains vibrant, and the series itself is celebrating its 25th anniversary. Last year, it attracted over 15 million new players. According to EA's Q2 earning report from late last year, The Sims 4—initially a premium game—took four years to reach 20 million unique players. However, when it switched to a free-to-play model in 2022, it welcomed an astonishing 31 million new players immediately, reaching a total of 85 million as of May 2024. And while fans eagerly await news, there are currently no plans for The Sims 5... Plum!
