Diving into the underwater world of *Final Fantasy XIV* has been thrilling since the *Stormblood* expansion, but the real adventure begins with the Free Company submarine. Here's a comprehensive guide on how to unlock and utilize your FC submarine in *FFXIV*.
To embark on subaquatic voyages, you'll first need to be a member of a Free Company (FC). For newer FCs, reaching rank 6 is crucial as it unlocks the vendors necessary for purchasing Ceruleum Tanks. Achieving this rank is straightforward; simply have your FC members engage in various in-game activities such as clearing dungeons, leveling up, and participating in crafting and gathering.
Once your FC is at the required rank, head to the Company Workshop in your FC house. Interact with the schematic board to obtain the submersible recipe. After collecting all the necessary items, the submersible will be added to your FC crafting log, ready for you to craft.
However, crafting the submersible is only part of the journey. You'll also need Dive Credits to undertake subaquatic voyages. These can be purchased from Resident Caretaker NPCs in the following housing districts:
Remember, you need to be at FC rank 6 to buy Dive Credits, and each credit costs 10,000 Company Credits. Once you've acquired your Dive Credits, register your submersible at the voyage control panel in the Company Workshop.
