Director Hamaguchi and producer Kitase have confirmed the completion of the story for Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 3, assuring fans that development is progressing on schedule. This update, shared during an interview promoting FFVII Rebirth's PC release, confirms earlier statements and alleviates concerns about potential delays.

The team, while initially apprehensive about the reception of FFVII Rebirth following the success of the first installment, expressed satisfaction with the overwhelmingly positive response. This positive feedback has boosted confidence in the upcoming conclusion to the trilogy. Hamaguchi highlighted a "logic-based approach" to development, incorporating player feedback strategically while maintaining the core vision.

The rapid PC port of FFVII Rebirth reflects the growing importance of the PC gaming market. Kitase emphasized the rising development costs and the necessity of reaching a broader audience, citing the global accessibility of PCs compared to consoles. Hamaguchi noted a shortened PC port development time for Rebirth compared to Remake, demonstrating a commitment to timely PC releases.
