More gameplay and release date of DOOM: The Dark Ages is finally revealed

Bethesda and id Software showcased a new DOOM: The Dark Ages demo during the Xbox showcase, confirming earlier leaks of a May 15th release date.

This medieval-themed installment offers a distinct gameplay experience compared to DOOM: Eternal. Players will adopt a more grounded, tank-like approach, emphasizing powerful weaponry over constant mobility. Forget the frantic parkour; expect strategic combat from a more stationary position.

The core arsenal includes a shield and mace, providing a unique combat style. A standout feature is the inclusion of a giant mech for battling smaller demons, along with the exciting opportunity to ride a dragon during the campaign.

A customizable difficulty system allows players to fine-tune the challenge, adjusting enemy damage and other parameters to their preference.
