Google Play's Best of 2024: Squad Busters Takes the Crown!
Google's annual "Best of" awards for mobile gaming have been announced, highlighting the year's top mobile experiences. The results are in, and the winners represent a diverse range of gameplay styles, from cooperative boss battles to casual puzzle challenges. The best of the best? Supercell's Squad Busters.
This tactical multiplayer game claimed the coveted "Best Game" award, a testament to its fast-paced battles and engaging hero roster. Players build teams, compete in various game modes, and collect loot to earn rewards.
Supercell enjoyed a double victory, also winning "Best Multi-device Game" with the enduringly popular Clash of Clans. This strategy game's decade-long reign continues, thanks to its cross-platform compatibility across phones, foldables, tablets, Chromebooks, and PCs.
Beyond these top awards, several other titles shone in various categories. Squad Busters also took home "Best Multiplayer," while Eggy Party earned "Best Pick Up & Play." Yes, Your Grace secured the "Best Indie" award, Solo Leveling: Arise won "Best Story-Driven Adventure," and Honkai: Star Rail received "Best Ongoing" for its consistent updates.
Family-friendly fun was represented by Tab Time World, and Kingdom Rush 5: Alliance was a Play Pass favorite. Finally, Cookie Run: Tower of Adventures was named "Best for Google Play Games on PC."
