Alkimia Interactive, the creative minds behind the eagerly awaited Gothic 1 Remake, have recently provided early access to a brand-new demo version of the game to journalists from various outlets. This demo, initially crafted for Gamescom, is slated to become publicly accessible in the near future.
Serving as an enticing prelude to the full game, the demo introduces a fresh protagonist named Niras, diverging from the classic Nameless Hero. Niras, a fellow prisoner, embarks on his journey in the Miners' Valley, engaging with its inhabitants and laying the groundwork for the expansive narrative to follow.
Back in 2024, Alkimia Interactive showcased an exclusive prologue demo at Gamescom, highlighting Niras' arrival in the Colony and his initial encounters with its unforgiving environment and residents. Excitingly, this demo will soon be available for everyone to explore, offering a global audience a taste of the revamped Gothic universe. Both the demo and the upcoming full game have been reconstructed almost entirely from the ground up, promising an extended playtime, enhanced focus on orcs, and a host of additional immersive features. Fans can look forward to a more profound and captivating experience than the original offered.
The latest demo of Gothic 1 Remake is set to launch on Steam during the Steam Next Fest event. It will be available for free from the evening of February 24th until the evening of March 3rd, after which it will no longer be accessible. The full release of Gothic 1 Remake is scheduled for later this year, and will be available on PC (Steam, GOG), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
