The remastered edition introduces ray-traced reflections, redesigned vehicles, and numerous quality-of-life improvements that collectively enhance visual presentation. Gaming channel GameV recently demonstrated these upgrades through a detailed comparison video, showcasing the graphical evolution since the original release twelve years ago. The visual differences become most striking during nighttime rainstorms and shadow-heavy environments, where the advanced global illumination and ray tracing effects deliver stunning results. In bright daylight conditions, however, the enhancements appear more subtle.
Despite an impressive debut that attracted over 187,000 simultaneous players on Steam—surpassing the standard edition's recent peak of 184,000—community feedback remains divided. The game currently holds a 56% positive rating on Steam, with many players debating the significance of the visual upgrades. Additional concerns include inconsistent DualSense controller performance and technical issues during GTA Online character transfers. While some users report seamless migrations, others continue encountering persistent bugs that affect gameplay.
