Leslie Benzies, the mastermind behind Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption, unveils his latest creation, MindsEye, with a fresh look at the PlayStation State of Play.
The newly released trailer showcases MindsEye as a cutting-edge spy thriller, echoing familiar elements from Grand Theft Auto. Expect thrilling third-person gunfights, stunning cinematic sequences, and intense drive-by shootings. Witness the action firsthand in the cinematic trailer below.
Official press materials reveal that MindsEye follows Jacob Diaz, a protagonist equipped with a neural implant – the MindsEye – that has fragmented his memories, leaving him with disjointed flashbacks from his military service. His mission? To uncover the truth behind his past, a journey that pits him against an AI-powered military force.
MindsEye has been in development for several years. Following his departure from Rockstar Games, Benzies established Build a Rocket Boy, collaborating with IO Interactive (Hitman developers) on this ambitious project. Described as a AAA action-adventure title, MindsEye will also integrate with the Everywhere platform, previously likened to a "high-budget Roblox" following a studio visit in 2024.
While the new trailer omits mention of Everywhere, MindsEye itself promises an exhilarating action experience from a gaming legend. Anticipate its release sometime in the summer of 2025.
