In *Avowed*, treasure maps lead to exciting rewards, and the first you're likely to encounter is the Intimidating Feline Codpiece Map. Here’s your guide to completing it and claiming the treasure that awaits.
Upon arriving at the Living Lands and meeting Garryck and potentially Ilora, you'll encounter your initial trio of merchants. Among them, Lynna will offer the "Treasure Map – Intimidating Feline Codpiece" for 115. Purchase the map, and you'll find it listed in the Documents section of your Journal under Paradis.
The map's intriguing lore reads, "My husband spent a fortune on this stelgaer codpiece to spice things up in the bedroom. Now he’s dead on account of a weak heart. I want nothing to do with that tasteless (though brutally effective) garment, so I leave it to the gods to find a worthy bearer."
Begin your journey from the Gods’ Gate Beacon, located east of Paradis and north of the Southern Embrace on the map. Bypass the Yellowband Camp, as the battle there can be challenging if you're not adequately leveled. Navigate around the camp's southern and eastern edges, and when you reach a fork in the road, take the right path.
You'll soon come across a boarded-up area. Break through the boards and open the chest on your left to discover your prize.
Inside the chest, you'll find the following items: Stelgaer’s Pride + 2, Golden Scelling (6), Silver Fenning (8), Common Arquebus, Bear Claw, Pelt (2), and Softwood Branch (2).
The star of the haul is the Stelgaer’s Pride armor, with the following stats:

Given that you can obtain the Stelgaer’s Pride Armor early in Avowed—as the Intimidating Feline Codpiece Map is the first one you can acquire—it's an excellent choice for early-game armor, particularly for players focusing on physical builds. As a spellsword, I found it quite beneficial, at least initially.
