Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery's 2024 Halloween update has arrived, bringing a chilling celebration of Dark Arts throughout October and into November. The game is transformed with spooky decorations and a host of eerie events.
A Spooky Hogwarts Awaits
The Halloween atmosphere is immediately apparent in Diagon Alley and Hogwarts Castle, both adorned with festive decorations. New locations also join the Halloween festivities this year.
A house-themed pumpkin hunt offers magical rewards leading up to October 31st, while a thrilling Creature Expedition challenges players to confront the fearsome Acromantula.
New Challenges and Creatures
For those who've unlocked the Swooping Evil (the brain-eating creature from Fantastic Beasts), a special adventure awaits. This terrifying beast has infiltrated Hogwarts Castle, requiring players to assist Hagrid in its capture before anyone is harmed.
A new side quest, "The Vampire of Hogsmeade," introduces vampires lurking near Hogwarts, prompting Professor Dumbledore to temporarily close Hogsmeade. Players must unlock the One-Eyed Witch statue to uncover the mystery hidden within the fog.
Hogwarts Diary: A New Feature
The update introduces the Hogwarts Diary, a new feature where players solve puzzles by participating in various in-game activities. Completing diary sections reveals artwork via magical inkwells, unveiling a larger narrative.
The initial quest involves assisting Madam Pince in the library to locate the Lost Spore Scrolls, penned by former Headmistress Professor Phyllida Spore, which detail the school's magical fungi.
