Get ready for a celestial upgrade! Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 9 launches December 3rd, bringing a universe of changes, updates, and exciting new features. Prepare for a revamped Tavern with cosmic vibes, cutting-edge tech, and a completely overhauled minion lineup.

Key Changes:

  • Bob's Technotavern Gets an Upgrade: Expect a rating reset and the retirement of Trinkets. In their place? Battlegrounds Tokens! These allow you to reroll a hero option at the selection screen – perfect for escaping undesirable choices.

  • Staggered Minion and Hero Reveals: The reveal schedule is as follows:

    • November 20th: Naga and Dragon reveals.
    • November 21st: Quilboar and Beast reveals.
    • November 22nd: Pirate and Duos-only reveals.
    • November 25th: Murloc and Demon reveals.
    • November 26th: Elemental and Undead reveals.
    • December 2nd: Preview event streams and 31.2 patch notes.
  • New Heroes and Minions: Three brand-new heroes join the fray, with Farseer Nobundo already generating buzz. Nearly 90 minions and Tavern spells are entering or leaving the pool, dramatically altering gameplay.

  • Solo Battlegrounds Damage Cap Adjustment: A new damage cap will be implemented in solo games only. Early-game damage will be capped at 5, increasing to 10 on turn 4 and 15 on turn 8. This cap is removed once you reach the top 4.

  • Phased Minion Release: The launch will occur in phases:

    • December 3rd: Beasts, Dragons, Quilboar, Pirates, Naga, and Mechs are added.
    • December 5th: Murlocs and Demons join the pool.
    • December 9th: Undead and Elementals arrive.
