Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era Announces Open Arena Mode Testing

Unfrozen Games has unveiled a new gameplay trailer for Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era, offering a glimpse into the game's core mechanics, diverse units, and overall strategic gameplay. This exciting trailer coincides with the announcement of closed beta registration for the game's "Arena" mode. Players can request access via the Steam page, with testing running from March 17th to March 28th.

Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era is slated for Steam Early Access launch in Q2 2025. At launch, players can expect six distinct factions, three engaging single-player modes, and three competitive multiplayer modes. Ubisoft is partnering with Unfrozen Games to bring this highly anticipated title to players worldwide.

Recently, the Dungeon faction was revealed, introducing a formidable roster of units including troglodytes, dark elves, minotaurs, medusas, hydras, and dragons. These unique units promise to add significant strategic depth and tactical variety to the battlefield.

The development team at Unfrozen Games openly discussed the challenges faced in creating the Arena mode, specifically balancing hero and skill interactions within the constraints of limited starting resources and map space.
