David Haddad, President of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, told Variety, "We've seen the fan demand for more, and we're actively working on it." He highlighted the collaboration with Warner Bros. Television to create a unified narrative, despite the game's 1800s setting preceding the series' timeline. The connection will focus on shared thematic elements and "big-picture storytelling."

While details on the HBO Max series remain limited, HBO & Max Content CEO Casey Bloys confirmed it will delve deeply into the beloved books.
