Mastering Buzz Lightyear in Brawl Stars: A Comprehensive Guide

Brawl Stars' limited-time brawler, Buzz Lightyear, offers unique gameplay with three distinct combat modes, making him a versatile addition to your roster until February 4th. This guide details how to effectively utilize his abilities and conquer various game modes.

How to Play Buzz Lightyear

Unlocking Buzz Lightyear is free via the in-game Shop. He arrives at Power Level 11 with his Gadget, Turbo Boosters (a forward dash for offense or escape), already unlocked. He lacks Star Powers and Gears. His Hypercharge, Bravado, temporarily boosts his stats across all modes.

Buzz's three modes, each with unique attack and super damage values, are detailed below:

Mode Image Stats Attack Super
Laser Mode Health: 6000, Movement Speed: Normal, Range: Long, Reload Speed: Fast 2160 5 x 1000
Saber Mode Health: 8400, Movement Speed: Very Fast, Range: Short, Reload Speed: Normal 2400 1920
Wing Mode Health: 7200, Movement Speed: Very Fast, Range: Normal, Reload Speed: Normal 2 x 2000 -

Laser Mode excels at long-range combat with a burn effect. Saber Mode thrives in close-quarters, utilizing a Bibi-like attack and gaining Super charge from damage taken. Wing Mode offers a balanced approach, best used at closer ranges.

Optimal Game Modes for Buzz Lightyear

Buzz's adaptability makes him effective across multiple modes. Saber Mode shines in close-quarters maps (Showdown, Gem Grab, Brawl Ball), particularly against Throwers, due to his Super's targeted landing. Laser Mode dominates open maps (Knockout, Bounty), using the burn effect to control opponents' healing. He's a valuable asset in Trophy Events and Arcade Mode. Note: Buzz is unavailable in Ranked Mode.
