The success of *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* continues to soar, with the game now selling an impressive 2 million copies in less than two weeks. Developer Warhorse Studios celebrated this milestone with a tweet, describing the achievement as a "triumph," echoing their sentiment when the game reached 1 million sales just a day after its release.
This remarkable performance underscores the appeal of Warhorse Studios' medieval Europe action role-playing game sequel, which hit the shelves on February 4 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S.
Last week, Warhorse Studios' parent company, Embracer, highlighted the game's strong performance on Steam, noting a peak of over 250,000 concurrent players. To put this into perspective, the original *Kingdom Come: Deliverance* achieved a peak of 96,069 concurrent players on Steam seven years ago.
It's important to remember that *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*'s total peak concurrent player count would be even higher, considering its availability on consoles as well. However, player numbers on PlayStation and Xbox remain undisclosed by Sony and Microsoft.
Embracer, through its subsidiary Plaion, praised the game's initial success, citing strong player and critic reception alongside robust performance. Embracer CEO Lars Wingefors commended the dedication of Warhorse Studios and their publisher, Deep Silver, stating, "It is our strong belief that the game will continue to generate substantial revenues over the coming years, highlighting the exceptional quality, immersion, and appeal of *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*. Looking ahead, *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*'s post-launch roadmap is packed with exciting content. In 2025, players can anticipate three expansions. Spring will bring free updates, including a Barbers feature for enhanced customization, Hardcore Mode, and Horse Racing. Summer will introduce the first paid content, "Brushes with Death," where protagonist Henry assists an enigmatic artist with a shadowy past. Autumn will see the release of "Legacy of the Forge," delving into Henry's past through his adoptive father Martin's history. Finally, winter will bring "Mysteria Ecclesia," sending Henry on a covert mission to navigate the intricate dynamics of the Sedlec Monastery.
