The Might and Mastery event is now live in *Pokemon GO*, bringing a slew of exciting new features to the mobile game. The star of the show? None other than the Wushu Pokemon, Kubfu. Fans have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of Kubfu and its evolution, Urshifu, since their debut in the *Pokemon Sword and Shield* DLC. Now, the wait is finally over, and all you need to do to catch Kubfu is complete a few tasks.

To get started, open your Special Research tab and navigate to the "Might and Mastery" section. Here's what you need to do:

Research TaskReward
Explore 3 km15 Poke Balls
Defeat 3 Team GO Rocket members5 Revives
Use a supereffective Charged AttackUse a super effective Charged Attack

Once you've completed all three tasks, Kubfu will make its appearance, and you'll earn 891 XP for adding this powerhouse to your collection. Remember, though, the Special Research is only available until Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at 9:59 AM local time, so don't miss your chance to catch Kubfu.

Can You Catch More Than One Kubfu in Pokemon GO?

For those who can't get enough of Kubfu, *Pokemon GO* has you covered. You can purchase the Paid Special Research – Fuzzy Fighter pass for $8, which unlocks additional tasks and the chance to catch a second Kubfu. Here are the rewards you can expect from the pass:

  • One Incense
  • Two Premium Battle Passes
  • One Star Piece
  • Encounters with Season-themed Pokémon
  • A rare encounter with a Dynamax Kubfu

Keep in mind, the Fuzzy Fighter pass is only available for purchase until March 10, 2025, at 10 AM local time. Once purchased, the tasks will remain in your game, so there's no rush to complete them immediately.

Can You Evolve Kubfu in Pokemon GO?

Kubfu is undeniably adorable, but competitive players are keen to know if they can evolve it into Urshifu. At the moment, it doesn't seem possible, but given that Kubfu's evolution is featured on the loading screen for the Mighty and Mastery event, there's a good chance this feature will be added in the future.

And that's all you need to know about getting Kubfu in *Pokemon GO*. If you're looking for more, check out all the free item promo codes for the mobile game in March 2025.
