Get ready, Pokémon GO trainers! Black and White Kyurem are finally arriving in Pokémon GO as part of the global GO Tour: Unova event, scheduled for March 1st and 2nd. This highly anticipated duo will be available in raids, offering players a chance to catch both their standard and shiny forms. The event also boasts special event-exclusive backgrounds inspired by the original Pokémon Black and White games.
The arrival of Black and White Kyurem has been a long-awaited event for many fans, following a surprise, albeit brief, appearance in 2023. Their introduction promises to significantly impact the game's competitive landscape. These legendary Pokémon hold a special place in the hearts of many Pokémon fans, making their official debut in Pokémon GO a momentous occasion.
During the GO Tour: Unova event (10 AM to 6 PM local time), trainers will have the opportunity to encounter Black and White Kyurem in raids. But the excitement doesn't stop there! Similar to last year's Necrozma fusion event, players can fuse Kyurem with either Zekrom (for Black Kyurem) or Reshiram (for White Kyurem). This fusion requires 1,000 Volt Fusion Energy/1,000 Blaze Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, and 30 Zekrom/Reshiram Candy respectively. The fused forms will boast unique attacks – Freeze Shock for Black Kyurem's fusion and Ice Burn for White Kyurem's fusion. The fusion is reversible at no cost. The necessary fusion energy is obtainable by defeating Kyurem in raids.
Completing these fusions unlocks special backgrounds themed after Pokémon Black and White. Unlocking both fusions grants access to a third, unique background. With the GO Tour: Unova event fast approaching, trainers should prepare for an action-packed weekend filled with exciting new additions to their Pokémon GO experience.
