Marvel Rivals welcomes an unexpected crossover: the Advanced Suit 2.0 from Marvel's Spider-Man 2!
PlayStation announced this exciting collaboration on X/Twitter, showcasing NetEase Games' rendition of this iconic suit for their hero shooter. This sleek Spider-Man suit, originally designed for Insomniac Games' Marvel's Spider-Man, has appeared in all three games of the series. Its distinctive white spider symbol makes it instantly recognizable. This surprising collaboration with Sony and their console-exclusive superhero game brings the suit to Marvel Rivals.
Marvel Rivals, launched in December, already boasts a wide array of unlockable suits. However, this Spidey suit stands out. Beyond its connection to the popular PlayStation series, the Advanced Suit 2.0 will be worn by a Spider-Man voiced by Yuri Lowenthal, the actor behind Peter Parker in Insomniac's Spider-Man trilogy and also in Marvel Rivals. This ensures a familiar feel for players acquiring the costume on January 30th, the same day Marvel's Spider-Man 2 releases on PC.
The addition of Spider-Man’s Advanced Suit 2.0 is another exciting element for players, following the launch of Season 1: Eternal Night Falls. This season introduced Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman as playable characters, with The Thing and Human Torch arriving soon. Creative director Guangyun Chen has also promised at least one new hero every six weeks.
