Marvel Snap introduces Sanctum Showdown mode

Apr 15,2025 Author: Matthew

Are you ready to ascend to the rank of the Sorcerer Supreme? A thrilling new limited-time mode, Sanctum Showdown, has just been unleashed in *Marvel Snap*, and it's set to shake up your gameplay until March 11th. This event introduces a fresh competitive twist with a unique win condition, a pivotal Sanctum location, and innovative snapping mechanics that will test your strategic prowess.

In the Sanctum Showdown mode, the race is on to be the first to reach 16 points, rather than playing out to the sixth turn. The Sanctum location is at the heart of the action, dishing out the most points each turn. But here's where it gets interesting: starting on turn three, you can snap once per turn to boost the Sanctum's value by one point, keeping the game dynamic and the momentum ever-changing.

Jumping into a match will cost you one Scroll, but victory rewards you with another, fueling your continuous engagement. You begin with 12 Scrolls, and replenish with two more every eight hours. Should you find yourself short, you can always buy additional Scrolls for 40 Gold. Regardless of whether you win or lose, each match contributes to your Sorcerer Rank and earns you Charms, which you can redeem in the Sanctum Shop for exclusive cosmetics or new cards.

Sanctum Showdown in Marvel Snap

Thinking of leveraging Captain Marvel or Dracula to swing the game in your favor? Think again! Certain cards and locations are off-limits in Sanctum Showdown to ensure fair play. Cards with abilities that affect the final outcome are out of the equation here, and others like Debrii have been excluded to avoid unbalanced strategies. To craft the ultimate deck for this challenge, don't forget to consult our *Marvel Snap tier list*!

If you're eyeing cards like Laufey, Gorgon, or Uncle Ben, Sanctum Showdown is your exclusive opportunity to snag them before they make their way to the Token Shop on March 13th. With Portal Pulls, you stand a chance to unlock these cards for free, along with up to four Series 4 or 5 cards.

Don't miss out on the action—Sanctum Showdown in *Marvel Snap* is available until March 11th. For more details, be sure to visit the official website.
