Enhanced Xbox Game Pass Rewards: New Quests and Increased Earning Opportunities for Adults

Starting January 7th, Xbox Game Pass is significantly upgrading its rewards program, introducing Quests for PC users and enhancing point-earning opportunities. However, these new features are exclusively for players aged 18 and older, reflecting Microsoft's focus on age-appropriate gaming experiences.

Previously limited to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers, Quests are now expanding to include PC Game Pass members. This means a wider range of players can earn points by completing various in-game challenges. Access to the Rewards Hub, used for tracking points and redeeming rewards, will also be restricted to those 18 and over.

The revamped system introduces several new quest types:

  • Daily Play: Earn 10 points daily by playing any Game Pass title for at least 15 minutes.
  • Weekly Streaks: Playing at least five days a week earns points, with multipliers increasing for consecutive weeks (2x for two weeks, 3x for three, and 4x for four or more).
  • Monthly 4-Pack & 8-Pack: Explore the Game Pass catalog by playing four or eight different games (15 minutes each) per month. The 4-Pack games count towards the 8-Pack.
  • PC Weekly Bonus: Earn 150 points by playing for at least 15 minutes on five or more days of the week.

This updated system simplifies earning rewards with daily, weekly, and monthly opportunities. The return of weekly streaks allows for significant point multiplication through consistent gameplay.

Microsoft emphasizes its commitment to age-appropriate content, hence the 18+ age restriction on these new features. Players under 18 will only be able to earn rewards through parentally approved purchases from the Microsoft Store.
