Tracking Your Fortnite Spending: A Comprehensive Guide

Fortnite is free, but its alluring skins might tempt you into spending. To avoid unexpected bank statement surprises, here's how to monitor your Fortnite expenditures. Remember, small purchases accumulate quickly, as illustrated by a real-life example of someone unknowingly spending nearly $800 on Candy Crush over three months.

Two methods exist for reviewing your spending: directly through your Epic Games account and via the Fortnite.gg website.

Method 1: Epic Games Store Account

All V-Buck transactions, regardless of platform or payment method, are recorded in your Epic Games Store account. Follow these steps:

  1. Access the Epic Games Store website and log in.
  2. Click your username (top right).
  3. Select "Account," then "Transactions."
  4. On the "Purchase" tab, scroll through your transaction history, clicking "Show More" as needed.
  5. Identify entries showing "5,000 V-Bucks" (or similar) and note the associated currency value.
  6. Sum the V-Bucks and currency amounts separately using a calculator to determine your total spending.

Important Considerations: Free Epic Games Store games will appear in your transactions, requiring you to filter them out. V-Buck card redemptions might not display a dollar amount.

Method 2: Fortnite.gg

As noted by Dot Esports, Fortnite.gg offers a less direct, but still useful, approach:

  1. Visit Fortnite.gg and log in (or create an account).
  2. Navigate to "My Locker."
  3. Manually add each purchased outfit and cosmetic item by clicking on it and then "+ Locker." You can also search for items.
  4. Your locker will then display the total V-Buck value of your acquired cosmetics.
  5. Use a V-Buck to USD converter to estimate your total dollar expenditure.

While neither method is flawless, they provide reasonable estimations of your Fortnite spending.

Fortnite is playable on numerous platforms, including Meta Quest 2 and 3.
