Netflix Announces Movie Based on Hit Game Sifu: Chad Stahelski and T.S. Nowlin Join the Project

Netflix partners with Sifu's creators for a big-screen adaptation. The film, initially announced in 2022 and developed by Story Kitchen and Sloclap, has expanded its production team. Deadline reports that T.S. Nowlin (Maze Runner, Project Adam) is writing the screenplay. Derek Kolstad's involvement remains uncertain, though he previously worked on the adaptation.

Adding to the project's impressive credentials, Chad Stahelski (John Wick franchise) and 87Eleven Entertainment will serve as executive producers. Stahelski is also involved in adapting Ghost of Tsushima.

Sifu, released in 2022, achieved phenomenal success, selling over a million copies in its first three weeks. The game centers on a young martial artist's quest for revenge after their master's death. Using a mystical pendant that allows resurrection but accelerates aging, the protagonist faces numerous challenges in their perilous journey.
